The Asylum Movie Review: 13/13/13 Directed by James Cullen Breesack(Available Now!)

There are end of the world films zombies, disaster movies etc and the list goes on. This is by far one of the better films of the Apocalypse.

Story Synopsis:
For millennia, calendars have added an extra day every four years. In doing so, they violated the ancient Mayan calendar. Now we are in the 13th month of the 13th year of the new millennium, and the few who survive will battle a world of demons.

There was earlier films that were of numbers in relation to that year in which the films were made I have seen 12/12/12 and quite enjoyed it.

For James Cullen Breesack this is quite a step up in the right direction as this being his first film for The Asylum and has called upon actors he has used in two of his previous films Jody Barton who plays Quinten and was in "Hate Crime" & 'To Jennifer" along with Ian Roberts who plays Stairway Crazy #2 was also in "Hate Crime"

For me the thing I liked most of all is that this was NOT a zombie film I am sorry but there has been an over abundance of zombies and vampires in horror of late and just some local yolks going crazy in a film(really crazy)it was like a breath of fresh air.
Erin Coker(above)was in some other Asylum films before 11/11/11 and Air Collision. She is quite good as Candace that helps the lead in the film Jack(Trae Ireland-Cleaver Family Reunion)who has an agenda all his own and that is to save his wife, find his daughter and get out of town, sadly things go from bad to really worse.
I had the pleasure watching this as I have reviewed James films before and he sent me and online screener.
Another friend of mine through Facebook anyway Chris Ridenhour scored the music for the film and it was pretty creepy sometimes.
There are scenes that when the characters are going insane they are really well done and the directing and editing are in top form as far as I am concerned.
James Cullen is easily one of my "to watch" directors anyone that knows me when I say that I mean that. What I mean by all of that is when he/she has a new film coming out I will go out of my way to watch their film(s). Directors like Martin Scorsese, Clint Eastwood, Kathryn Bigelow(long before her Oscars)and a handful of others Charles Band(Full Moon Features)is another.

Also take note of this on the first day of sales on Amazon this past Tuesday November 5th the film was :
