Little Shop of Movies Review: The Prince(2014) Available Now

Wow there is a chance of saving the action genre from complete failure of making a smart and well crafted film a typical story where our leads daughter is kidnapped and he wants her back.
Not at all taking a hint from "Taken" with Liam Neeson but standing on it's own feet and wowing us-at least me anyways.

The real reason why this film works is the always overlooked and totally underrated actor that is Robert Patrick I have always enjoyed his work since seeing him debut in "After Dark, My Sweet" and another great film "RUSH" with Jennifer Jason Leigh.
Throughout the film we are introduced to him and the group of others that he associated with when he was an assassin like Sam(John Cusack) they were never really close but can rely on each other when needed.
Paul(Patrick)is after thug after thug trying to track his daughter down after finding she is hooked on drugs and living at a place called the Pharmacy -a drug house the thug has her so drugged up.
This tale has such a classic element for the film is strong in it's delivery and the actors and everyone just worked their asses off I can tell and they sure did an incredible job -this is easily one of my best films of the year good job all around.

The action scenes are fantastic and the casting of Jason Patric was great as he has that moody feel about him, soft spoken but also knowing he could blow any moment as well.

Thank you for reading this
