"In their punishing debut, Calgary metal trio False Flag skirt between multiple sub-genres while never fully committing to one. As such, they’ve created something original and crushing that is never cliché. Tracks flirt with the crushing dynamics of death doom and the wavering guitar tones, jutting palm hits and garbled howls of technical metal – think Nothing-era Meshuggah – and the energetic dynamism of punkified thrash. Given that the band is made up of current and former members of Meggido, AfterEarth, and Lordosis, it should be no surprise that Orobas slays. It’s definitely worth picking up."

Pure Heavy Metal knows no boundries or limits --this is one kick ass album and like their previous work this just gets you wanting so much more from this band --4 songs are just not enough but wow with just 4 songs they blow so much of the metal out there to pieces.

Some amazing killers riffs brought from the depths of James Hetfield classic riffs or even Dimebag Darrell's fantastic exceptinal guitar work --sure that puts a lot of pressure on the band but this is that good, in my opinion!!
I get to listen to  a lot of bands and there are some great ones but there is something special with this band form Calgary, Alberta.

This has some incredible fast and furious songs I am overly impressed with this release and the skill that is shown here impressed with this than most full length albums that have been released this year, someone needs to sign this band and keep them close as this is some fantastic metal.

Easily one of my favorite albums of the year thus far and yet only 4 songs long --Perdifious has some clear Pantera inspired riffs and vocals but that is the great thing about that song.

I cannot stop playing this album and hope that this band can come to BC soon I am looking forward to seeing them live one day .

Thank you for reading this
Sincerely
Anthony Nadeau
