Little Shop of Movies Review: 88-Starring Katherine Isabelle(Available Now)

                                           Story Synopsis:
A young woman comes to in a roadside diner with no idea where she is or how she got there. Split between two timelines, she gets taken on a violent journey as she seeks out the person responsible for her lover's death.

Interesting observations made about this film it is called 88-the running time on the film is 88 minutes , every hotel/motel she checks into is room 88. Also the place where Cyrus and his bad men are at is at 88 Wilmot Lane
There are few actors/actresses that have a constancy as Katherine Isabelle have enjoyed her work since first seeing her in "Ginger Snaps"(2000). Blew up the screen in The Soska Sisters film "American Mary"
She is just as amazing as she has been in so many of her films some really raw energy in some of the scenes , the image above both starts and ends the film.

Overlooked by many for the roles she plays but she has some incredible depth in a good many scene in the film , interrogated at the police station (above) a single tear falls from her eye.

When she comes to realize that her love has been killed she throws herself on the floor and just lets a scream out some power in her scream.

Micheal Ironside plays the Sheriff that questions her about things that have happened and again he is one of my favorite actors first seeing him in "Visiting Hours"(1982) also a Canadian Film.

The cast is very good together and even Christopher Lloyd is good a the heavy Cyrus who is fond of Gwen/Flamingo things have happened in her life and he takes her in after all her years in foster care.

If you like a good mystery/suspense film then check this one out I was pleasantly surprised by it.

Thank you for reading this
Sincerely
Anthony Nadeau
