Epic Pictures Group Movie Review--Turbo Kid (Playing Now In Select Theaters & VOD)

So this week I also watched Mad Max: Fury Road which was so disappointing I was truly let down.
I was sent an online screener of Turbo Kid from the studio and much to my surprise and complete enjoyment Turbo Kid to the rescue!!

We start as many movies do we are given a little history of who he is and what he is all about , been able to trade for a Turbo Rider comic book , our lead character is The Kid(Munro Chambers--Degrassi:The Next Generation) who has a BMX bike that he travels around on sitting on the swing set reading his comic book he is unknowingly sharing it with Apple(Laurence Leboeuf--Trauma(TV) & 19-2(TV)).
My favorite movie critic of all time always had said
"An action film is only as good as it's villain"--Gene Siskel
Not only the villain great and somewhat comedic but also played by one of my favorite character actors of all time Micheal Ironside(Total Recall, Starship Troopers, above) who plays Zeus.
Then we have his right hand man Skeletron(Edwin Wright--Underworld:Rise of the Lycans & Tatau(TV)) plays a very good heartless , speechless masked individual that takes complete pleasure in killing people with his blades.
Action, adventure, comedy , sci-fi , blood & guts this is all that many movies forget how to completely entertain their viewer , this is honestly a breath of fresh air with all the CGI garbage that is dominating our screens all over the planet. This has the same heart as Big Trouble In Little China & Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Two of my favorite cult movies.

The group of actors chosen for the film was great and the film was inspired by a short film of the same name.
I have watched that short online just a few minutes before doing this review and I also enjoyed that.

I cannot remember the last time I had this much enjoyment watching a film like this , but am I ever grateful to everyone that had even a small undertaking of getting this film made and out for the public, this is great enjoyable film making.

Thank you for reading this
Sincerely
