Little Shop of Movies Reviews: Cold Comes The Night(Released March 4th, 2014)

A struggling motel owner and her daughter are taken hostage by a nearly blind career criminal to be his eyes as he attempts to retrieve his cash package from a crooked cop.

Ever the story of a single mom just trying to do what she can to keep her and her child /boy/girl  supported, however that being said after the few moments of chaos that happens somewhat early in the film child protection services comes call and tells her she has two weeks to find a better home for her and her daughter or they will remove her child from the hotel.
Alice Eve does what she can in her role but this is just a standard run of the mill thriller , everything is so overdone in so many of the scenes and Bryan Cranston is dull and predictable in every scene he is in.
He is a cold methodical killer , also partially blind but look out when he needs to shoot he can kill you with one bullet, wait ...what?? yes you read that right.
His character has been done so many times before this reviewer has seen this story so many times as well there is nothing fresh here at all, not even the double crosses.

The mood of this film is very somber and even the lighting of each scene is dreary- that I realize is to make the mood of the film sopmewhat bring you down but even the actors seem to feel it.

Once again for the record if you have seen a good number of thrillers yourself I am sure there is not much of anything that  will resinate original or interesting, shame really it had potential.

Thank you for reading this
