Unified Past is a power progressive rock band from Syracuse, New York. Their new recording, “Shifting the Equilibrium”, is planned for a September 2015 release. The recording contains 6 power prog compositions, clocking in at 55 minutes. The addition of grammy award winning vocalist Phil Naro show’s that the band is continuing to grow and evolve and that they are a band that prog rock fans should really get to know. Guitarist Stephen Speelman possesses a master’s degree in classical guitar performance, bass player Dave Mickelson is currently a member of Joey Belladonna’s Chief Big Way and thunderous drummer Victor Tassone has appeared on several independent artist releases as well, including Corvus Stone and Andy John Bradford’s Oceans 5.
What a treat this album is from the very first song and all the way through this tight musical journey of progressive music and sounds. The album artwork is visually wonderful as well.Done by Ed Unitsky I know this as the band sent me the physical disc and it is greatly appreciated.
Here is the the first song from the album.

Some great music gets overlooked often as the bands are on smaller labels and don't have the push that the bigger labels do.
Deviation from A Theme (of Harmonic Orgin) is a brilliant piece of music ,some classic guitar licks emulating that of RUSH's Red Barchetta 3 minutes into the song. Not that they played the same note was just something I noticed.
    Thank you for reading this
